Football is one of the country’s greatest passions next to the Tango. And La Boca is home to one of Argentina’s most famous football teams Boca Juniors for which the legendary Diego Maradona once played. The team's home is the Estadio Alberto J Armando on Avenida Brandsen 805 which is otherwise known as La Bombonera (chocolate box).

If you’re keen to see a match and you're a football fanatic it's reputedly well worthwhile. The stands are very steep and they shake as the fans roar with excitement.
