Earthquake hits Salta

On Saturday 27 February 2010 just after midday an earthquake which measured 6.3 on the Richter Scale rattled the historic city of Salta in northern Argentina.
Many people congregated later in the cathedral, which suffered some damage, to pray not only for protection but also for the victims of the massive earthquake which shook Chile in the early hours of the morning that same day.
