The attractive town of Río Ceballos, founded in 1830 by Juan de Ceballos, is some 30 km north of the city of Cordoba and sits at the foot of the Sierras Chicas. From its Selva Negra there are great views of the town and the surrounding countryside. The Río Ceballos itself, along which there are plenty of beaches, is one of the town’s principal attractions as well as the Reserva Hídrica Natural Parque La Quebrada, not more than seven kilometres away, which is popular with fishing enthusiasts, trekkers and water sports fanatics.
