The historical city of Diamante is situated on the banks of the Rio Parana where the Parana Delta starts and the mouth of the Rio Parana meets the Rio de la Plata, hence it’s a popular fishing destination. It’s worth visiting the Mirador Panoramico where there’s a marvellous view of the Rio Parana and its extensive delta. There’s a small museum, the Museo Regional Municipal, on Eva Peron with Serrano, which gives an insight into the area’s past. Just to the south of Diamante is the Parque Nacional Pre-Delta, home to an astonishing variety of fauna and flora.
