Something you wish to say about this page? Cerro Catedral(Reads: 1090, since 01-Dic-2008)The craggy peaks of Cerro Catedral (some 2,400 metres) are some 19 km southwest of Bariloche. In the winter the mountains of Catedral operate as one of Argentina’s most established and most popular ski resorts while in the summer Villa Catedral serves as a starting point for some fabulous treks. It’s possible to either take a cable car and a chairlift farther into the mountains to Refugio Lynch, Refugio Frey and Refugio San Martin. Or from Villa Catedral, you can follow part of the way around Lago Gutierrez and back to Bariloche or all the way around through Villa Arelauquen and Villa Lago Gutierrez to the popular town of El Bolson. For further details, visit the tourist office in the Centro Civico on the main plaza in Bariloche.
