Getting to Bariloche

By Air
Aerolineas Argentinas
 flies from Buenos Aires to Bariloche daily, except Tuesday. Its offices in Buenos Aires are on Peru and Rivadavia, Avenida Leandro Alem 1134 or Avenida Cabildo 2900. Tel: +54 (0) 810 2228 6527. It has an office in Bariloche on Mitre 185. Tel: +54 (0) 2944 422144. Lineas Aereas del Estado (LADE) flies daily from Buenos Aires but stops in various other cities on the way. It has an office in Buenos Aires on  Peru 714. Tel:  +54 115 129 9001. In Bariloche LADE’s office is on Villegas 480. Tel: +54 (0) 2944 423562. LAN also flies daily from Buenos Aires to Bariloche. LAN’s office in Buenos Aires is on Cerrito with Paraguay. Tel: +54 (0) 11 4378 2222. Its office in Bariloche is on Mitre 534. Tel: +54 (0) 294 447 7755. Bariloche’s airport is 14 km east of town. Shuttle buses meet arriving flights or alternatively you can take a taxi. Also, both Hertz and Avis rental car companies have offices in the airport.

By Bus
The main bus terminal is some three kilometres east of town on Avenida 12 de Octubre. There are several long-distance bus companies travelling to Bariloche and other surrounding destinations, including Via Bariloche, Don Otto and Andesmar.  A list of bus companies can be found at Bus America.

By Car
It’s 1,536 km from Buenos Aires to Bariloche. One of the most direct routes from Buenos Aires to Bariloche is by following the Ruta 3 out to Bahia Blanca, where you take Rutu 22, otherwise known as the ruta de la fruta, via Neuquen and on to Zapala where you meet the Ruta 40, which extends from the far north of Argentina to the far south. Follow the Ruta 40 all the way to the turn off for Bariloche.
