Cafayate is home to some of the highest vineyards in the world. It’s situated in the Valles Calchaquies and enjoys over 300 days of sunshine annually. Varietals grown here include Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, Syrah and Chardonnay, but it’s particularly associated with Torrontes, a grape originating in Galicia, which produces a flowery, slightly acidic, white wine.
