The annual Campeonato Argentino Abierto de Polo (Argentine Open Polo Championship), reputedly the world’s fifth oldest polo tournament dating back to 1893, is scheduled to take place throughout December this year at the Catedral del Polo in Palermo, Buenos Aires. The championship is not only one of Argentina’s most important and prestigious sporting events, it’s a social highlight patronized by many of the country’s elite, and attracts the world’s top teams who come to compete with Argentina’s best players and clubs.The tournament is organized by the Asociación Argentina de Polo (Argentine Polo Association).
