At the heart of Mendoza is Plaza Independencia which occupies four blocks so it’s not hard to find your way around the city on foot.The city’s public transport system is good with buses, trolleybuses and innumerable taxis. The trolleybuses tend to be more comfortable but they’re slower, not so frequent and have a limited number of routes. It is possible to reach nearby wineries of Lujan de Cuyo and Maipu by bus, although if you were to rent a car you would get to see many more.
