The Aeropuerto Internacional Ing. Francisco J Gabrielli otherwise known as Plumerillo is eight kilometres north of the city. It’s just under a two-hour flight from Buenos Aires to Mendoza.

By Bus
Several long-distance bus companies operate between Mendoza and Buenos Aires, a 17-hour journey, as well as to several other cities throughout Argentina. The bus terminal is two kilometres from the city centre. El Rapido, Chevallier, Andesmar and TAC travel between Buenos Aires and Mendoza. Andesmar also goes from Mendoza to Bariloche, Rio Gallegos, Comodoro Rivadavia, San Juan, Tucuman and Salta. Buses also leave regularly from Mendoza to Santiago, Chile, an eight-hour journey.

By Car
Mendoza is just over 1,000 km from Buenos Aires from which the Ruta 7 goes all the way passing through the city of San Luis. The journey takes at least 15 hours. It is advisable to take a fuel can as a back-up or make sure you know where to fuel up. YPF, the state fuel company, publishes a route guide on which it marks all its service stations. There are other fuel companies besides, but it is not uncommon to arrive to a service station in some rural backwater which has run out and is waiting for a delivery. The Automovil Club Argentina at Avenida Libertador General San Martin 1850 in Buenos Aires also has maps and car-service facilities.
