Covering more than 2.8 million square kilometers, Argentina is about one third the size of the United States, and extends between 22 degrees south and 55 degrees south. It shares borders with Bolivia in the north, Uruguay, Paraguay and Brazil to the northeast and a long border to the west, from the far north to the far south, with Chile.
