Smoking Rules(Reads: 286, since 28-Oct-2008)In 2006, amazingly so, smoking in Argentina was banned in all public buildings, restaurants, bars, clubs and shops as well as on all public transport. Some larger restaurants and bars, however, have been allowed to section off enclosed areas where smokers can go and puff in peace, although the trend, it seems, is to gather outside rather than inside. Don’t be surprised to find certain establishments, particularly, pubs and clubs, overlooking the law. Smoking is still not frowned upon in Argentina like it is in many other countries.
